3/20/12 - Armchair Activism

Hi
Advocating for lgbtq seniors also includes advocating for all diverse groups.  It has been said many times that the world cannot be free until we are all free.  Please consider adding your name to the following causes through change.org, the most wonderful armchair activism resource.

Please consider copying and pasting the website into your search engine and filling in the blanks and then forward the website to your friends and social networking sites, including Facebook and Twitter.  Thank you so much.

1. Petition to Prosecute the killer of the 17 year old African American male killed in Florida:

2. List of petitions that advocate for the war against women - you can review the list of petitions, then click on the option that appeals to you most:

3. List of petitions that advocate for health campaigns/issues - you can review the list of petitions, then click on the option that appeals to you most:

4. List of petitions that advocate for gay rights campaigns/issues - you can review the list of petitions, then click on the option that appeals to you most:

5. List of petitions that advocate for human trafficking issues - you can review the list of petitions, then click on the option that appeals to you most:
http://www.change.org/topics/humantrafficking
Note - this issue is very important for the Seattle area because this city has one of the highest amount of human trafficking (also known as "domestic slavery") cases in Northern America because it is a port city.

6. List of petitions that advocate for immigrant issues - you can review the list of petitions, then click on the option that appeals to you most:
http://www.change.org/topics/humanrights
This topic is important in the lgbtq community because so many lgbtq immigrants, particularly people that do not speak English as a first language, face multiple forms of discrimination, including homophobia, racism, and, or course ageism as they grow older, particularly if they are not able to legally marry.

Thank you all for considering reviewing these petitions.  I really appreciate it.
